COVID-19 and What We Are Doing at The Blick Center to Protect Your Health

...

We hope you, your families, and loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.

To ensure the health and safety of our clients, staff, and visitors, we are consistently evaluating best practices and guidance published by the CDC, local, state, and national government guidelines.

*Blick Center employees are instructed to not report to work if they are ill.

*Currently, Clinicians are primarily meeting with clients through use of telehealth services to enhance the safety of clients, caregivers, and staff. When telehealth services are not appropriate, Blick Center staff will coordinate with you to find alternate appointment options.

*When scheduling and confirming face-to-face appointments, you will be asked several pre-screening questions.

*We are continuing to limit the number of individuals within the building and therefore, you must have an appointment to enter. Our lobby is configured to ensure six feet of distance between seats.

*If you are unable to attend your appointment independently, we request that only one visitor accompany you.

*All staff, clients and visitors are required to arrive with and wear masks/face coverings. This does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a mask/face covering due to a medical condition. If you have such a medical condition, you must inform your Clinician of this at the time your appointment is scheduled.

*All clients and visitors will be required to complete the screening questionnaire, temperature screening and perform hand hygiene upon entering the building or meeting in the community with their provider.

*Common spaces throughout our buildings are routinely sanitized.

Day Programs

The Blick Center will be following DODD’s required assurances for Adult Day Supports programming.  To summarize, our safe practices will include:

  1. Group sizes limited to 12 individuals plus staff.
  2. Separate entrances and restrooms in buildings with more than one group.
  3. Non-rotating staff.  Staff temperatures taken twice per day.
  4. Individuals’ spaces at least six feet apart.
  5. Staff and individuals attending the program are required to wear face masks.
  6. Individuals’ temperatures will be taken twice per day and symptoms observed.
  7. Program areas and restrooms will be sanitized frequently.
  8. Hand washing and food handling protocols followed.

If additional accommodations are needed, please discuss this with your provider. We will work together to support your needs and requests. Updates to this notification will be made as changes occur.

Please contact us with any questions.

The services meet a continuum of individualized needs, from organizing and keeping track of financial records and health insurance documentation, to assisting with billpaying and maintaining bank accounts.

Money management does not take the place of services provided by professionals in the accounting, investment, or social services fields. Money management complements the work of other professionals by facilitating the completion of the day-to-day tasks rather than determining or executing long-term plans.
